Lee Sung-Kyu
Abstract
Using journal articles and theses published in the period of 1995-2018, the purpose of this study was to systematically analyze the literature on helping professionals who work at community mental health centers, and to provide implications for future research. To do this, the present study utilized the methods of systematic review, PICOS suggested by Cochran Collaboration, and collected the final sample of 42 literature based upon relevant keywords. The main findings of the study were as follows; First, there were approximately 1.8 studies per year on helping professionals at community mental health centers in the study period, and since 2005, the number of studies has consistently increased. Second, in terms of research methods, the proportion of quantitative studies was higher than that of qualitative studies (88.1% vs. 9.5%). Third, in terms of research topic, the highest proportion was organizational effectiveness (35.7%). Based on these results, the present study provides implications for future studies on helping professionals who work at community mental health centers.
